**Laila Biali** talks about getting a Grammy nomination for her album *Wintersongs*, her Vancouver performance history in years recent and past, and her upcoming project under a Canadian Songbook theme. Laila is a Juno-winning and multiple Juno-nominated solo artist, also known for hosting CBC's *Saturday Night Jazz* radio show and for joining the Ostara Project over the past two years. Laila and I later discuss a conversation she has been facilitating around artists' pursuit of Canadian arts grants.

Laila's Inlet show features Jon Bentley on tenor saxophone, Jodi Proznick on bass, and Ben Wittman on drums.
