Get Over the Hemispheres (& Back), w/ Meredith Louise
Meredith came from Australia to Vancouver 4 years ago; she heads there this month for her first show of this era
Meredith Louise talks about her arrival in Vancouver four years ago, the lead-up to it, and the ensuing story of making all of her recordings to date. Meredith is an Australian-born singer, songwriter, and keyboardist who trained in jazz and music therapy before coming to Canada. Her Vancouver music collaborators have included Tissa Rahim, Josh Eastman, Alvin Brendan, Justin Juan, Madeleine Elkins, and Brennan Buglioni. She has released two EPs, Mind Frame and Move Slow.
Meredith came out with two new songs in 2026, "Trust Myself" and most recently "Get Over", which features a music video filmed at 2 AM through to sunrise. She headlines a Australian show of her original music for the first time on Oct. 24th in Adelaide.
Meredith took part in the Madison Cunningham story, having attended the seminal show just a month after moving to Canada. In the conversation, Meredith and I also mention that her friend Tissa Rahim was the first person ever interviewed at Rhythm Changes.
