Mikey Jose talks about his first full-length album, CHASING / STILL, and its themes of ambition and solace. Mikey is an independent pop/R&B singer and songwriter by night and a neuroscience academic by day. He is best known in Vancouver music for his work through the 2020s with Ben Millman, Alvin Brendan, Yamil Chain-Haddad, Trent Otter, and other friends in the jazz-informed sub-scene I recently called the "Watchtower scene".
