A Copenhagen-Vancouver Story, with Trinelise Væring | RCTV 013

I went to Denmark in 2015, Trinelise came here to record at Afterlife Studios in the past couple years, and we meet now

Trinelise Væring

Trinelise Væring talks about coming from Copenhagen to Vancouver to record her latest solo album A Songwriter's Odyssey with John Raham at Afterlife Studios, featuring musicians like Scott Smith and Chris Gestrin. Trinelise is a singer-songwriter from Denmark who has recorded in both Danish and English, drawing from jazz, rock, and folk at different periods of her career. Those who know me may have heard that I traveled to Copenhagen for several months at a formative time in my life, so Trinelise and I take some time to discuss our two cultures. We also discuss her large ensemble with four vocalists called Tone of Voice Orchestra, who have a new second album, Running from the Devil.

The Tone of Voice Orchestra's Running from the Devil and Trinelise's A Songwriter's Odyssey both released in 2025.
