Krystle Dos Santos talks about her recent work including being a member of Mary Ancheta's MAQkestra project, playing the music of Betty Davis; her theatre shows, BLAK and Hey Viola!; and upcoming music events like a VIFF presentation themed around Jackie Shane, a Valentine's Day show for Infidels Jazz at the Fox, and of course Port Moody featuring her longtime band. Krystle also reflects on her long tenure hosting the monthly show called Underneath the Harlem Moon at Guilt & Co., discussing where she was at when she started it (around a notable Arts Club Theatre production of Dreamgirls with an all-Black cast) versus now.
Krystle's band consists of Gavin Youngash on guitar, Cole Tinney on bass, Dominic Conway on saxophone, and Jonny Holisko on drums.
