Laila Biali talks about getting a Grammy nomination for her album Wintersongs, her Vancouver performance history in years recent and past, and her upcoming project under a Canadian Songbook theme. Laila is a Juno-winning and multiple Juno-nominated solo artist, also known for hosting CBC's Saturday Night Jazz radio show and for joining the Ostara Project over the past two years. Laila and I later discuss a conversation she has been facilitating around artists' pursuit of Canadian arts grants.
